Students (Fellow Learners)-

You’ve probably heard that I’m leaving the Day School this Summer. While that’s true, I want you all to know that it has absolutely nothing to do with you or any of our classroom experiences and not based in any negative situation, etc.

First, I want to thank you all so much for the incredible experience I’ve had as your teacher, your advisor (Squiffins!) and your co-learner. I’ve learned more about myself as a person and as a teacher than I’ve learned during any one segment of my life. You all are amazing teachers and I’ll never forget any of you.

Second, I am expecting big things from each of you. I know what you’re capable of and how much we need you to fix the things my generation goofed up on and to help us learn more about the universe.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules, and they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them; disagree with them; glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.
