Here are the main notes from today’s class:

2 Types of Bonds: Ionic and Covalent

Ionic Bond Characteristics:
- Strong Bonds
- Crystalline Structure
- Formed when atoms gain or loose electrons (forming ions)
- Example: NaCl (Table Salt)

Covalent Bond Characteristics:
- Weaker than ionic bonds
- Amorphous Structure
- Formed when atoms share electrons
- Example: H=O=H (Water)
